Women's Ministry
The Women's Ministry is designed to promote fellowship, personal growth, and spiritual enhancement among the women of faith. Prayer breakfast, seminars, conferences, and workshops concerning women's issues are fostered through this ministry.
Women have been a vital part of the ongoing ministry of the Norristown Church
of God since its beginnings. Their ministries have included prayer meetings,
Bible study, local and world missions, benevolence, prison outreach, ministry to
young girls and senior adults, fund-raising, and social issues that affect
women. Women’s Ministries endeavors to create an atmosphere where women can realize
spiritual maturity and fellowship, develop their leadership skills, and minister
in the local church, their community and the world. Women are encouraged to accept their responsibility as women of God who will
offer themselves as living sacrifices, acceptable and pleasing to God (Romans
12:1-2); be devoted to one another in love, honoring one another above
themselves; serve God and their church with zeal, keeping their spiritual
fervor; joyfully hope; be patient in affliction and faithful in prayer; share
with God’s people who are in need; and practice hospitality.
The goals of our Women’s Ministries
are:
- To encourage spiritual growth and leadership among women
- To enhance local church ministries: prayer, benevolence, outreach, social concerns, Bible studies, world/home missions, widows, and family life
- To resource and equip women for effective ministry.
- To mentor girls and young women to grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
